Why has my video not been approved?
All videos that are uploaded to our website is reviewed by our Moderator. When considering your video upload for inclusion on our site we consider the following:
- The video is relevant to the purposes of this website, i.e. developing a unified sign language for South African Deaf adults, children of Deaf adults and sign language professionals
- The video does not violate our Terms and Conditions in any way
- The video does not violate our Privacy Policy in any way
- The video footage is of good technical quality
- The video is not longer than 5 minutes
If your video has not been approved, please consider whether it complies with all of the above points.
I've uploaded my video and it has been approved, but now I can't find it on the site
It may be that, upon review, our Moderator felt your submission was more relevant to a different Topic, they will move the video to that topic or category. If you have a specific query on one of your submissions, please do not hesitate to Contact Us.
Can I vote for more than one video under a specific Topic?
Unfortunately, no. We specifically want our members to vote for the best video of all under each Topic, so that we have one sign per Topic that will be unified.
Is membership really free?
Yes. Membership is absolutely free. If we do decide to change this, we will inform all of our members timeously.
How do I cancel my membership?
We would hate to see you go, but if you want to cancel your membership, please send us an e-mail or submit a form with your request. You can find both on our Contact page.
Can I submit Teaching Aids for consideration?
Yes, absolutely. Just send as an e-mail with your suggestion or submit a contact form, both of which can be found on our Contact page.
Who can vote for unification?
Only registered Real SASL Community Members can vote for unification. To register, please click on our Register button at the top or go directly to our Register page.
